About Creative Commons

About Creative Commons:

Creative Commons helps you share your knowledge and creativity with the world.

Creative Commons develops, supports, and stewards legal and technical
infrastructure that maximizes digital creativity, sharing, and
innovation.

The releases on this page (Hertzmusic) are available for free download under the Creative Commons license, most of them are under BY-NC-SA (unless noted).

Our aim is to share the music we love with you! Feel free to link to it with your site, play it in your podcast/radioshow, use it on any social media platform and share it with your friends.

BY-NC-SA says that:

You are free: to share (to copy, distribute and transmit the work) and to remix (to adapt the work).
Under the following conditions:

- Attribution (you must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor)
- Noncommercial (you may not use this work for commercial purposes)
- Sharing (if you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one)

We explicitly authorize the use of all the music during performances, radio broadcasts, and online mixes. We kindly ask that you notify us of your use for the purposes of our own curiosity and that Hertzmusic and the artists are attributed and linked to wherever possible. If you are in doubt about what you are allowed to do with our music, please contact us at info@hertzmusic.com.

The free, easy-to-use copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give the public permission to share and use your creative work — under the conditions that you choose. Creative Commons licenses let you easily change copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”

Creative Commons licenses are not an alternative to copyright. They work alongside copyright and enable you to modify the copyright terms to best suit your needs.
